Coronary Care Unit (CCU)

The coronary care unit (CCU) is a dedicated space within the hospital for patients with acute heart problems such as heart attack, unstable angina, rhythm disturbance, cardiogenic shock (occurs when there is failure of the pump action of the heart) and for those patients who have had catheter lab procedures such as insertion of devices like pacemakers and defibrillators, and interventions such as angiograms/angioplasties.

The Department of Laboratory Medicine provides a high quality, adequate and convenient laboratory service to our inpatients, outpatients as well as to any client who chooses to patronize our services. The services are organized and provided in a manner that meets applicable local and national standards and regulations. The department aims to provide faster, cheaper and better tests to the customers.


Radiology provides a complete spectrum of conventional and state-of-the-art imaging services. These include plain radiography, mammography, ultrasound, MRI, and CT scanning.
